Astrophysics Helps Secure ADAS 2016 in the PhilippinesPosted on November 4, 2016 in Tradeshows & Events
Picture yourself standing in line, waiting to enter a major industry tradeshow. Before you can enter, security personnel first need to inspect your bags. Rather than open them up and inspect them by hand, they pass your bag through an X-ray scanner. Once reviewed they mark your bags as “safe” and you are free to enter the show. This situation may sound far-fetched, but it recently took place at a tradeshow in the Philippines. Astrophysics X-ray scanners helped secure tradeshow entrances at ADAS 2016.
The recent Asian Defence, Security & Crisis Management (ADAS) exhibition is the Philippines’ largest defense exhibition and highlights its military’s modernization. Astrophysics, Inc. was a proud fixture at this year’s show. We partnered with security personnel and demonstrated our advanced X-ray scanners to all attendees.
Personnel put Astrophysics scanners, including the XIS-6040M and advanced 6545VI, at exhibition entrances. Security staff then managed the checkpoints, inspecting bags, briefcases and backpacks entering the show. They marked cleared bags with an official sticker and waved attendees into the secure tradeshow venue.
Our partnership with ADAS security highlighted our unique presence at the show. Astrophysics X-ray scanners helped keep the venue entrances safe. Astrophysics staff showed our imaging technology at the exhibit booth. And Astrophysics stickers were visible on bags and backpacks throughout the 3-day event.
