Representative Ed Royce Honors Astrophysics, Inc. with Export Achievement Award

CONGRESSMAN AND U.S. COMMERCIAL SERVICE HONOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA-BASED EXPORT FIRMS

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, Calif. (January 15, 2018)Representative (Rep.) Ed Royce (R–CA) and the U.S. Commercial Service honored Astrophysics, Inc. on Friday with an Export Achievement Certificate, recognizing the company’s success exporting over $1 million of security products and its positive impact on the local economy.

Rep. Ed Royce highlighted the importance of expanding American exports to markets around the world. He also commended the U.S. Commercial Service and the event’s host, the District Export Council of Southern California (DECSC), for their continued efforts to promote and aid U.S. export growth.

The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and it helps U.S. companies start exporting or increase their sales to new global markets. Astrophysics and the U.S. Commercial Service have partnered on several key sales opportunities, particularly in India and Asia. The agency opened new lines of communication and helped resolve challenges between Astrophysics and its business partners, helping facilitate major wins for the company’s security scanners overseas.

Regarding the award, Astrophysics, Inc. CEO Francois Zayek stated: “We are delighted to be awarded an Export Achievement Certificate. It is a testament to our company’s dedication to deliver high-tech, American-made security scanners to customers across the globe. We are also grateful for our relationship with the U.S. Commercial Service, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Commercial Service to increase our exports around the world.”
