To help operators take positive action and ensure a sanitary working environment, Astrophysics wanted to share the method we use to clean our x-ray scanners.We recommend wiping down the surface of our x-ray scanners with Formula 409 Cleaner Degreaser Disinfect. Focus on high-traffic surface areas, including the AOCP, monitor, panels, conveyor, and roller tables. Be sure to logout before cleaning the systems. If Formula 409 is not available, use an EPA approved cleaning product whose primary active ingredient is Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chlorides (C12-16).

It is safe to apply cleaning solution directly to the control panel. Please avoid water, ammonia, and aerosol cleaners, as they may damage the system’s electronics. Use a towel, soft cloth, or paper towel to prevent scratches and abrasions. For further instruction on cleaning Astrophysics’ x-ray systems, consult your owner’s manual.
