Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response

We recognize the challenge that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic presents to our employees, families, distributors, suppliers, and customers, and stand together to support the critical security mission of our partners in the United States and abroad. Astrophysics provides vital security equipment to maintain critical infrastructure and protect our national defense and global safety. We will do our part to meet the moment and continue our company’s commitment to public service and security control.

We are working carefully to limit the spread of COVID-19 according to the guidelines enacted by local, state, and federal officials, including good hygiene practices, travel restrictions, social distancing, and fever checks.

As COVID-19 emerged, we rapidly initiated risk mitigation measures across the organization, including diversifying our production portfolio and purchasing additional inventory to continue manufacturing and service. We are working jointly with our local California suppliers to ensure our supply chain remains strong. Astrophysics has never been more proud to produce an American product.

Despite the extenuating circumstances, we will do everything in our power to ensure our equipment continues to safeguard prisons, police, government buildings, and critical sites around the world. The Astrophysics service team continues to provide 24/7 technical support via phone, email, remote access, and on-site when possible. Our Field Service Technicians are strategically located and solutions-focused, committed to driving long distances when necessary to ensure our equipment is operational.

We feel empowered by our shared security mission and dedicated to meeting this challenge together. Today, we provided hundreds of masks to a local Los Angeles hospital to do our part to support the community and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Further, Astrophysics encourages our employees and global partners to support their local communities. The virus has caused severe shortages in the world’s blood supply and food banks. At our headquarters, our employees are volunteering to donate blood on August 31st, 2020 to the American Red Cross. Globally, you can find a donation center through the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations. Even a small contribution can have a great impact.

We thank you for your continued support of our American family company. We are heartened by the dedication shown by our employees and communities around the world in their response to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
